Pendam XIII/Merdeka, Pangdam XIII/Merdeka Mayjen TNI Santos G. Matondang, M.M., M.Tr (Han) menutup pendidikan pertama tamtama (Dikmata) Gel II TNI AD TA 2020 secara virtual bertempat di Puskodalops Kodam XIII/Merdeka, Kamis (8/10/2020).
Kapendam XIII/Merdeka Kolonel Kav M. Jaelani dalam keterangannya mengatakan bahwa penutupan pendidikan ini tentunya menjadi kebanggaan sendiri, baik bagi orang tua dan keluarga maupun bagi para Tamtama baru sekalian. Oleh karena itu Kapendam sampaikan bahwa Pangdam XIII/Merdeka, ucapkan selamat kepada seluruh prajurit siswa yang telah menyelesaikan pendidikan pertama Tamtama TNI AD.
"Dengan rasa syukur dan bangga,Panglima Kodam XIII/Merdeka mengucapkan selamat kepada para mantan prajurit siswa Dikmata Gel II TA 2020 atas keberhasilan menyelesaikan pendidikan pertama bintara TNI AD" Ujar Kapendam.

Lebih lanjut Kapendam sampaikan bahwa Pangdam XIII/Merdeka juga memberikan ucapan terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak yang telah berkerja sama sehingga proses latihan bisa berjalan dengan baik.
Dalam upacara tersebut Pangdam XIII/Merdeka menutup sedikitnya 514 Siswa Dikmata TNI AD TA 2020.
